I fear I misinformed readers about the 'rainbow' flags now flying over every college in this University. I said it was just for a week; 'Pink Week'.
Oh Dearie Me, No. They're up for a month. 'Gay History Month'.
Oddish. Normally, every college has ts own, distinctive, flag.
But, in the interests of diversity, they are all now flying the same flag!

THEY ARE SIMPLY ADVERTISING THE CONDITION OF THE MEMBERS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COLLEGIAL BODIES: GAY. THIS USED TO BE RESTRICTED TO ONE COLLEGE, WHICH HAD A SOCIETY WHO WORE BLUE SUEDE SHOES ON EVERY LADY DAY. NOW I SUPPOSE ITS TAKEN IN ALL.
I find the ubiquity of these flags to have a menacing tone to them; anyone who doesn't want them is 'intolerant,' is an unperson, unless they are Moslem, of course. Nothing says under occupation more than those flags appearing everywhere.
"Prayerful" above has put it succinctly and perfectly. These ubiquitous (and ugly) flags announce proudly triumph over Christian morals, sane societal mores, as well as threaten anyone who dares even think of disapproving. Totalitarian to the core.
'Gay history' consists in large part of re-writing the past to 'out' people who, being long dead, cannot defend themselves.
Look on the bright side. At least it's the shortest month of the year.
