So the politicians have duly said and done the things that custom requires to be said and done by such people on Holocaust Memorial Day.
The Holocaust was unbelievably, horribly, unimaginably evil.
We are right to be on our guard against the repetition of past evils.
But Evil rarely repeats itself in precisely the same shape and form.
The Enemy knows this. (I wonder how many unborn Jews are killed every year in the State of Israel.)
So the politicians and the Media gauleiters who are so Correct when speaking about the Final Solution of the Jewish Problem, are poor and blind and murderous fools when it comes to the Final Solution of the Baby Problem. Leo Varadkar, an Irishman, elegantly demonstrated this when he chose the eve of HMD to commit himself to the great god of abortion whose faithful promise is I am come that you may have Death, and have it more abundantly.
Easy, isn't it?

I do not understand how The West can seriously applaud itself for being so democratic and humane and enlightened and superior, when we murder unborn babies, and then say it's "empowering" to women to kill their own children.
The horrors of the Nazi-Reich are very much comparable to our times: an inhumane ideology, the murdering of "inferior" life (disabled and old people e. g.), a common Feindbild, experiments on humans (in-vitro-Fertilisation e. g.).
Abortion on demand is legal in Israel. About 19,500 babies are killed each year. The Israeli Health Service subsidizes abortion approved by so-called Termination Committees.
'Holocaust Memorial Day' was instituted in 2001 by Tony Blair. I was uneasy about it then, and the passage of seventeen years has not decreased this unease. The 20th century witnessed mass murder on an unprecedented scale, from the Armenian massacres by the Ottoman Turks during the First World War, through Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and Mao to Pol Pot, not to mention Africa and the Balkans. It is right that these terrible events should be remembered, the Shoah included (I find the term Holocaust quite inappropriate, as do many Jews).
Now while lip service is paid to non-Jewish victims of genocide, the focus is very much on the events which occurred during the Second World War. The prevailing image of the perpetrator of genocide as someone with a swastika armband and the victim as someone wearing a star of David is reinforced. And its effect is to distort history.
Since the war, there has arisen a veritable 'Holocaust industry', some aspects of which are disquieting. When St Maximilian Kolbe was canonized an attempt was made to brand him as an anti-semite. The 'Final Solution' is used by some to indict European Christianity in general and the Catholic Church in particular. Back in 1948, when Cardinal Mindszenty was arraigned by the murderous Rákosy regime on trumped-up charges, the prolific and influential Jewish-American journalist George Seldes not only claimed the charges were genuine but accused the Cardinal of collaborating in the deportation of Hungarian Jews to the Nazi death camps.
Seldes, who carried on writing until his death at the age of 104, was not only anti-Catholic but a Stalinist to boot (at least until the late 1940s). It goes without saying that he does not mention the 600,000 Hungarian civilians deported to the Gulag at the end of the war - 200,000 perished.
Simon Wiesenthal, the celebrated 'Nazi hunter' was revealed after his death in 2005 to have been an egotistical fantasist.
Hitler came to power in 1933. By then, Stalin had disposed of over six million of his own citizens, mostly Ukrainians and Belorussians. However, I don't expect the organizers of HMD will devote much time to this particular atrocity.
This has some good background on Israeli abortions.
I believe the referendum on the 8th Amendment to the Constitution is a supremely blasphemous and murderous exercise of the Government. Bear in mind the very Preamble of Eire's Constitution solemnly declares before God and man:
"In the Name of the Most Holy Trinity, from Whom is all authority and to Whom, as our final end, all actions both of men and States must be referred,..."
This murderous action is shaking one's fist in the Face of the Holy Trinity. Defying God to act and demanding God's own judgement on Ireland and I pray God publicly rebuke them everyone, the ignorant, the malicious not that they perish in Hell, but that in rebuking them, God grant them the opportunity to repent and be saved.
Hebrews 12:6 "For whom the Lord loveth, he chastiseth; and he scourgeth every son whom he receiveth...."
Revelation 3:19 "Such as I love, I rebuke and chastise. Be zealous therefore, and do penance...."
Better we here in Eire should sink beneath the waves than blaspheme the Most Holy Trinity.
"...I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed:.." Deuteronomy 30:19
We have already crossed the line, Liam, with that blasphemous so-called 'marriage' referendum. Indeed, we defied God with the Divorce referendum. Still, Moloch represents an even deeper iniquity.
I also wish to thank John Nolan for a very wise post.
