De Amoenitate Ruris et de Necessitate Tmeseos

Dies aliquot recenter degens in comitatu Sussexiae, semitam ambulans inveni faecibus foedatam ... canum, ut opinor, potius quam elephantorum seu dinosaurorum seu Arianorum seu etiam peritorum liturgicorum.

Eheu!

Ennianissimum?

Very droll, but I don't think Warden Sparrow would have identified with the defunctarum!

That's what the pre-foul sniffing is all about: to boldly foul where no other cannine has fouled. OTOH, foxhounds in full cry don't have the time, and the keen follower will often spot one fouling at the gallop! - Honest.

I'm afraid that I am unable to render all that in Latin since, at 78 years and counting, I am still barely a beginner in the language and have to rely, to an inordinate extent, on Google Translate which often commits glaring foul-ups of its own.

To boldly "go" where no one has "gone" before! Well except for poor Laika!😂😂

Thr Warden compiled an extensive collection of 'grave' inscriptions which was singularly appropriate given the dedication of the foundation which he adorned.
