Gerhard Cardinal Mueller on Hyperueberultrapapalist Bergoglianism

Two quotations from the latest Mueller interview [the italics are mine]. The whole interview, which is superb, should be read, over at Lifesitenews.

Bergoglianism ...  Hyperueberultrapapalism ... one might think of it as Catholic Teaching 'taken a bit further', perhaps 'a bit too far'. Not so. The current error ravaging the Christian Tradition is not more than Catholicism; it is less. It is a radical apostasy from the Catholic Faith. In his Eminence's words, "It is not at all Catholic".

"[The pope's] authority is extended over the revealed Faith of the Catholic Church and not over the individual theological opinions of himself or those of his advisers ... it is irritating that theologically uneducated people are being promoted to the rank of bishops who, in turn, think that they have to thank the pope for it by means of a childish submission ... "

"The Magisterium of the bishops and of the pope stands under the Word of God in Holy Scripture and Tradition and serves Him. It is not at all Catholic to say that the pope as an individual person receives directly from the Holy Spirit the Revelation and that he may now interpret it according to his own whims while all the rest are to follow him blindly and mutely ... revealed truth cannot be toppled by any power in the world, and no Catholic may ever believe the opposite or be forced to accept the opposite."

Too bad he was not so bold when he was Perfect of the Sacred Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith but at least he is a gang of three or four - Burke, Schneider etc

The Bishop of Rome has no intention of reforming or resigning and so the Cardinalate must begin to public resist and reprove him and demand he issue a profession of Faith and cease his radical praxis or threaten to identify him as one who has lost his Papacy owing to heresy.

Because he refuses to respond to The Dubia it can be safely assumed he can not faithfully respond to the carefully drawn queries and so he is revealed as, at minimum, an objective heretic.

We have had this heretical neo-ultramontanism before, at least from 1850, from Ward and Manning, in England;
in France "To Pius IX, who represents my God on earth Iste Deus meus et glorificabo eius, Deus patris mei et exaltabo eum" L'Univers;
in Italy "when he (the Pope) thinks, it is God who thinks in him" Civilta Cattolica.
All documented in Abbot Cuthbert Butler's 'The Vatican Council, 1869-1870, ...'

Having reached this conclusion, His Eminence might wish to reflect on this in a broader context and see that the problems did not start in 2013, but rather earlier. It was just possible to hide them under the 'great facade' which has now been torn down.

Dear E. There is also this. infallibly taught by Vatican 1;

Chapter 2.

On the permanence of the primacy of blessed Peter in the Roman pontiffs

1. That which our lord Jesus Christ, the prince of shepherds and great shepherd of the sheep, established in the blessed apostle Peter, for the continual salvation and permanent benefit of the Church, must of necessity remain for ever, by Christ's authority, in the Church which, founded as it is upon a rock, will stand firm until the end of time [45].

2. For no one can be in doubt, indeed it was known in every age that the holy and most blessed Peter, prince and head of the apostles, the pillar of faith and the foundation of the Catholic Church, received the keys of the kingdom from our lord Jesus Christ, the savior and redeemer of the human race, and that to this day and for ever he lives and presides and exercises judgment in his successors the bishops of the Holy Roman See, which he founded and consecrated with his blood

But that promise does not mean that The Bishop of Rome is an oracle or that he can introduce novelties we must obey;

Chapter 4.

On the infallible teaching authority of the Roman Pontiff

6. For the Holy Spirit was promised to the successors of Peter not so that they might, by his revelation, make known some new doctrine, but that, by his assistance, they might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith transmitted by the apostles.
