Cardinal Mueller's latest comment on that infamous Relatio post disceptationem.
You don't know Italian?
I suggest this for a Latin version:
INDIGNA, INVERECUNDA, OMNINO FALSA.
Perhaps readers could offer translations in as many modern languages as possible?
For readers who know some Italian, this link may be useful:

Note that La Repubblica is not necessarily a newspaper one would expect to be favourably disposed to His Eminence's position.
It also crossed my mind to note the newspaper's recognition of the SCV's independence. It is in the section "Esteri" - foreign news.
ReplyDeleteThat'd be «Indigna, vergonhosa, completamente enganosa» for me.
ReplyDeleteSic hobbitur ad astra?
ReplyDeletegerman (tedesco):
ReplyDeleteunwürdig (erbärmlich, abwegig)
schändlich (skandalös)
komplett falsch (unrichtig)
Mi oferas kiel tradukon:
ReplyDeleteSkandale, hontinde, plene erare.
Tiu frazo certe disvastigindas tra la tuta eklezio!
Español
ReplyDelete"Indigna, vergonzosa, completamente equivocada"
Or, since "Sínodo" is a masculine noun:
"Indigno, vergonzoso, completamente equivocado"
Thank you, m.PR. But I wonder why sinodo is masculine, given its origins.
ReplyDeleteProbably Cardinal Mueller used feminines to agree with relatio.
How about little Gaelic:
ReplyDeleteNeamhfhiúntach, Náireach, Olc (or dul amú) go hiomlán
Of course if it were Cdl. Pell instead of Cdl.Mueller he might have just said “Bol…ks”
Dutch (Nederlands):
ReplyDeleteOnwaardig, onwaar, totaal verkeerd.
Shameful, shameful, shameful. And some other stuff.
