Pignus futurorum bonorum ...

Rorate has a nice little video of an SSPX clergyman saying Mass in S Peter's in Rome; a votive of our Lady ... in red vestments ...... presumably because, when he said it on August 9, the sacristy had red vestments laid out for S Edith Stein, and Father didn't want to put the Sacristy to the trouble of finding vestments of the right colour ... I'm sure this is the way ahead!

This is at least somewhat in accordance with number 323 of the General Rubrics that, "The colour of the vestments in a votive Mass should be the appropriate one for the particular Mass; but in low votive Masses IV class that are not conventual Masses, the colour of the Office of the day may also be sued, however only violet and black are to be used in the Masses to which they apply."

“Faith is to believe what you do not yet see; the reward for this faith is to see what you believe.”
(St. Augustine)

Today, many souls were able to see "what" they "believe", because of this video, throughout the world and were rewarded! Deo Gratias!!

Might I also point out that he says a low mass with great dignity and without rushing, besides preaching a short homily and administers holy communion, all in a fraction under thirty minutes.

Thank you for referring to this great saint as S Edith Stein. She may have assumed a religious name, Benedicta and canonized under it, but she was put to death because of her Jewish heritage.

Actually, Saint Teresa Benedicta was killed for both reasons: she was marked because of her ethnicity, but she was martyred because of her position as a Catholic religious who suffered the consequences of the Catholic voice raised by the Catholic bishops of the Netherlands (not by the Protestant leaders).

We explained this important detail here, on the 70th anniversary of the Pastoral Letter:

A beautiful video full of reverence, piety and hope for the future,

The absence of altar cards suggests that the sacristans assumed that Fr de Sivry was going to celebrate a Novus Ordo Mass and he did not disabuse them. Is he likely to have announced the fact that he was SSPX?

The presence of two video cameras suggests a carefully staged propaganda coup.
