Some time ago, I criticised Boris Johnson because, during one of his lock-downs, he locked down the churches too.
He has once again locked England down ... but (in accordance with a tip and a wink he gave to Sir Edward Leigh M P) our churches, this time, are not closed down.
Perhaps 'Justice' is not one of my strong points ... but here is my opportunity to be fair to him.
He has behaved like an honest man.

Fr,
In Toronto the churches have all been locked down for several weeks now. I assure you that the Cardinal has NOT protested, neither have the leaders of the other denominations. Many churches including my own are using You tube and other such devices to make services available as best they can. Obviously we are only assisting at Mass virtually but the increase in the number of Covid cases is becoming really frightening. Last spring on Easter Sunday the TV news showed the pope celebrating Mass with only few priest attendants, alone in St. Peter's Basilica and he functions by his own authority not that of the Italian state. It's a judgement call.

I commend you. Weaker men could not have done the same.
People keep telling me to "be fair." I ask you, what's wrong with being dark?
"the increase in the number of Covid cases is becoming really frightening" in spite of 9 months of lockdown, mask nazis everywhere, social distancing, etc. So even though what we have been doing obviously doesn't work, we must do more of the same! Even if it wrecks the economies of our countries, closes thousands of small businesses forever, and increases depression and suicide rates. Isn't there a saying about insanity being doing the same thing but expecting a different result? Well it did have one outcome desired by some, the toppling of Democracy in America via a mostly bloodless coup.
I was wondering why Pusey House was still meeting.
